The Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago (RHAMC) is one of the oldest voluntary health agencies in the United States, founded in 1906 to help conquer tuberculosis. Today, RHAMC’s mission is to prevent lung disease and promote healthy lungs through research, advocacy, and education. Using our decades of experience, partnerships and scientific research from major medical and educational institutions, RHAMC is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of all lung diseases, which collectively are the third leading cause of death and disability in the United States.
