 2008 Cruising with COPD

Beautiful blue skies, low humidity and plenty of sunshine were the backdrop for this year’s Cruising with COPD event.On June 17, 2008 RHAMC hosted the 5th Annual summer classic at Navy Pier, Chicago aboard the Odyssey and Spirit of Chicago cruise ships.  The Pier was bustling with over 500 people living with COPD, their families and caregivers.  The event included the Chicago lakefront cruise, a buffet luncheon, COPD Bingo, entertainment and a raffle!  The attendees represented 20 Pulmonary Rehabilitation groups from across Illinois and included groups from Arlington Hts., Chicago, Elgin, Elmhurst, Joliet, Naperville, Oak Lawn, Oak Park, Orland Park, Peoria, Skokie, Tinley Park, and Rockford.  Supplemental Oxygen was available for the cruisers.
